Vanguard Medical is a durable medical equipment company that provides recovery equipment to patients post-surgery. Our products are intended to aid in a quick recovery process while helping to reduce or eliminate the need for painkillers. The Dispatch team is responsible for scheduling visits to patients homes and having regular contact with the patient during their recovery over the phone. In additon, our dispatchers create the schedules and routes for our employees who are on the road. This position requires excellent customer service and strong logistic skills. We are looking for individuals with call center experience who can handle high call volumes while providing exceptional service.

Schedule: Either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday. One weekend day is required. On weekends, employees work 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the week, the schedule is either 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., depending on employee preference.

This is an IN OFFICE position in Shelton, CT.

Key Tasks

  • Provide excellent customer service for all patients from initial scheduling call to courtesy follow up calls
  • Thoroughly explain the company product and our services to customers and answer all related questions
  • Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance based on location and surgery dates
  • Dispatch outbound/inbound calls for scheduling and troubleshooting
  • Monitors the route and status of product specialists in the field to coordinate and prioritize
  • Document, logs, and records patient updates and activities within systems
  • Explains insurance coverage, patient costs and collects payment as needed
  • Use phone desktop software integrated with patient database system.
  • Works in conjunction with product specialist team, sales and billing teams to ensure stellar service and efficiency

Qualifications:

  • 2+ year of customer service experience required
  • 1+ year of call center experience
  • 1+ year dispatch experience preferred
  • Strong computer and typing skills including experience with Microsoft Office
  • Medical Terminology proficiency preferred
  • Experience working in healthcare environment and/or medical insurance preferred
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Spanish-speaking Required

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
