Responsibilities:
- Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients. Review patient records.
- Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
- Perform a complete and/or focused physical exam and record findings. Establish presumptive diagnosis if needed.
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Synthesize data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
- Administer injections, immunizations and/or oral medications. Suture wounds.
- Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Instruct patient and family regarding medication and treatment instructions. Provide patient education.
- Assist physicians by recording patient progress notes, issuing diagnostic orders and transcribing orders.
- Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation.
- Perform independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Perform related work as required.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requirements:
- Licensure in the State of Ohio as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required.
- Must be in good standing with no restrictions to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Fluency in Spanish and English or Native Spanish speaker
