Sign On Bonus of $1500.00

A New Leaf's licensed and accredited 24-hour youth shelter for children (ages 12-17) that offer specialized case management for the purpose of family reunification. Meals, education, and warm place to sleep are provided along with activities to keep the children’s spirits up and deliver round-the-clock care. Our dedicated staff provide a safe and stable environment in which to foster the optimal growth and development of each child. Supporting objectives include improved physical/Mental health, improved education/vocation skill development and timely family reunification and/or release planning.

Pay: $89,440.00
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm
Location: Mesa

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Schedule and coordinate medical appointments as client needs dictate
2. Establish daily and doctor’s client record list.
3. Ensure all prescription medication is self-administered, self-administration documentation is accurately completed, and prescription medication (SAOM) schedule is completed according to policies and procedures of ORR and Licensing standards.
4. Train and document staff on the self-administration of medication.
5. Ensure all life support equipment and supplies are available and in working order.
6. Provide first aid and/or life support in the event of an emergency.
7. Advise the appropriate parties of developing/existing medical conditions.
8. Responsible for overseeing the medical staff.
9. Training and developing staff on A New Leaf and ORR policies and procedures.
10. May be required to be present at sporting and physical training activities to ensure client medical needs are adhered to.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
  • Registered Nurse certification in the state of Arizona, required.
Experience:
  • 1 year of employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.
  • 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
Compliance:
  • Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance
  • 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must Be at Least 21 Years of Age
