Our Ojos Locos Restaurant Management team consists of strong leaders with high-volume restaurant and/or bar experience. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing the back of house daily operations for our restaurants. They will recruit, cast, develop, mentor and coach the back of the house team. In addition, they successfully oversee all financial responsibilities including inventory, ordering food and hitting all labor targets. They also optimize profits and ensure guests are satisfied with their dining experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of an Ojos Locos Kitchen Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation.

Works on the line every day to ensure excellent food quality and consistent food preparation.

  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of federal, state and local laws.
  • Train and monitor the kitchen staff to be highly efficient in food preparation, safe food handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on Company and regulatory standards.
  • Examine freshness of ingredients, conduct food tastings, and evaluate food presentation.
  • Maintains inventory of food and supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring that necessary product is available when needed.
  • Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and storage and work areas.
  • Maintain a professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
  • Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality.
  • Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required.


  • 2-4 years of past Restaurant Kitchen Manager Experience
  • 2-4 years of high-volume kitchen management experience is preferred
  • ServSafe Certified
  • MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH, we require you to be 80-90% conversational.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
