As a Human Resources Admin. for Flagship you will perform a variety of administrative functions related to payroll, new hire paperwork, timekeeping processes, and other special projects as assigned. You may also be responsible for scheduling appointments, providing information to visitors/employees, and providing project support to the HR Team. You will compose grammatically correct memos, letters and create effective email communications. When needed you will schedule meetings, transcribe meeting notes, and generate reports under the guidance of management. You will rely on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of this job.
This position is located at Sky Harbor Airport and requires flexibility with schedule as we have employees on site in 24 /7 shifts.
This position will pay $20 to $25 per hour
Essential Functions
- Provide Administrative HR support to onsite employees while supporting the onsite HR Team
- Process employee transactions under the direction of RHRM.
- Assist with coordination of Leave of Absence communications and track return dates
- Coordinates and assist with the Employment verification re-certification process.
- Provide documentation support on complaint investigations.
- Provides HR support to HRM and Operations Leaders by way of clerical, telephone, and research.
- Maintains open, professional and collaborative communications between HR Team, Mgt. and the Client.
- Provide general HR support to union and non-union employees
- Assist Recruiters with new hire onboarding process
- Create and interpret various reports using Excel and other MS Office Software
- Serves as project lead for multiple projects, tracks progress and follows through to completion with little or no supervision.
- Responsible for maintaining electronic record retention for all employee files and company documents.
- Performs other duties as assigned by RHRM.
Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word and Excel
- Solid understanding of labor laws related to timekeeping and wage
- Experience creating effective and engaging power point presentations.
- Must be able to problem solve medium to complex issues with limited input from others.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and work within tight time frames.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish – reading, writing, and speaking – required.
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- BA or AA preferred
- 1 – 2 years of administrative experience
- General understanding of Unions is a plus.
