JOB TITLE: Computer Vision & ML Development Engineer

LOCATION: Cedar Rapids, IA, (Onsite)

Duration : Full Time or Contract

JOB DETAIL

Basic Qualifications:

- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations or equivalent and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR in absence years of relevant experience is required.

- Strong Software engineering skills including design, development and debugging

- Fluent in C or C++ or Python.

- Proven execution skills in developing software in complex systems.

- Demonstrated positive engineering technical results on complex programs.

- Passion or Experience in Computer Vision / Machine Learning technologies and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with computer vision tools like OpenCV, YOLO, PIP, Tensorflow, PyTorch .
- Experience with Deep Learning, Neural Networks and Artificial Intelligence

- Technical understanding of computer vision and machine learning

- Familiar with state-of-the-art CV/ML models and tools

- Experience in Avionics software application domains preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

- Develop software prototypes to prove or disprove research hypothesis in the area of Computer Vision based processing and verification environment

- Be obsessively passionate, inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways.

- Thrive in a collaborative environment and clearly communicate while confidently driving multiple projects.

- Engage with Technical Fellows, and Product teams to understand current pain points in the verification ecosystem.

- Responsible for the technical design, technical team members and execution of computer vision research vectors.

- Work with teams across Avionics to explore a broad disruptive trade space.

- Collaborate with product design teams, Digital Technology, Enterprise Digital Engineering organizations, and the Engineering tools organize adoption and transition of developed techniques.

- Drive teams with focus ranging from early minimum viable prototypes to scalable high-fidelity evaluations as concepts mature towards trans

- Work hand-in-hand with teams across Avionics to influence and adopt Sandbox technology
