Pharmacy Technician

Good Samaritan Health Centers of Gwinnett (Good Sam Gwinnett) is a nonprofit organization committed to caring for the poor and uninsured of metro Atlanta.

Only bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates will be considered. The Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to assist the Medical Team with prescription management and communicating with patients about medications. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Operations.

Major responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician include:

1. Enter and maintain accurate prescription data using our EMR.

2. Disburse completed and confirmed prescriptions to patients.

3. Assist the physician with maintaining the ongoing medication inventory.

4. Assist patients with PAP paperwork.

5. Answer patients’ questions about medications.

6. Assist providers in maintaining an accurate medication and allergy record for each patient.

7. Assist providers in responding promptly to requests from pharmacies.

Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

2. Must speak English and Spanish fluently.

3. Minimum one year experience working as a pharmacy technician.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
