LAAA HS Spanish Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Develop daily and unit lesson plans following a the school scope and sequence that are thoughtful, goal-oriented, and aligned with curriculum, actively engage students, maintain pace of learning , provide opportunities for student differences, frequently check for student understanding and convey high expectations for all students.
• Design and implement summative assessments to measure progress towards academic standards and formative assessments to drive instruction.
• Create and maintain a classroom environment to encourage all student to be engaged and work toward meeting standards.
• .Maintain accurate, thorough records of student’s achievement and behavioral performance. Complete progress and grade reports promptly and as scheduled.
• Promote a high rate of student interest and provide prompt and specific feedback to students in a constructive manner.
• Demonstrate fairness and consistency in dealing with students.
• Communicate effectively with parents and work collaboratively with parents.
• Continue to grow as a professional educator by taking classes, attending workshops/professional development and seeking opportunities to develop based on personal interest and feedback from administration
• Use assessment data to inform curricular and instructional practices.
• Create a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment.
• Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
