Spanish Assistant Resource Teacher

The new Goddard School of Maplewood is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and passionate Assistant Resource Teacher who supports a safe, healthy, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for children in all classes, infants through pre-K. The Goddard Schools of Millburn and Maplewood are Reggio-Emilia influenced, and have a trilingual (English, Spanish, Mandarin) global curriculum.

As an Assistant Resource Teacher, you will:

• Support your team to implement creative hands-on activities and projects based on your observations of children’s interests and skills.
• Support learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, problem-solving, critical, and creative thinking
• Create and support a caring classroom environment in which students learn cooperatively, and interact positively with one another
• Model respectful interactions with students of diverse backgrounds while responding to their individualized needs

Requirements:

• Passion for working with young children (birth through 5)
• Desire for flexibility in supporting all classrooms
• Excellent communication
• Experience working with young children and colleagues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
