POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Bilingual Translator/Tech
I. Position Overview:
Translator Tech duties will include Spanish to English bilingual interpretation to assist therapists as needed and to interpret for patients during treatment. A Translator must be dependable, excellent communication & organization skills, detail orientated and able to multi-task. Additionally, the tech will be required to keep the clinic clean throughout the day.
II. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Spanish to English bilingual translation and interpretation.
- Assist therapists as needed, translating for patients during treatment.
- Scanning patient documents and testing into the system.
- Creating Intake packets for new evaluations and mailing out.
- Food Prep for patient appointments.
- Sanitizing equipment & keeping the clinic clean throughout the day.
- Groceries ordered, picked up and the shelves stocked weekly.
- Kitchen duties will include loading/unloading dishwasher, stocking supply as needed. Reorganization of the kitchen monthly, going through all drawers and pantry to rotate stock.
- Kitchen cleaning: cleaning after every feeding session. Deep clean at least once a week to clean the fridges, microwaves, highchairs, and tables.
- Therapists’ toys used during treatment will need to be sanitized daily.
- Party Planning Events, including food prep, decorations, setup & cleanup. This can include holidays, therapists’ appreciation week, baby showers, bridal shower and other.
- Lobby bulletin boards are updated as needed.
- Flags in the lobby are changed as needed.
- Ensuring that patient stickers are stocked and ordered as needed.
- Shred bins taken down to the PT gym as needed.
- Vending machines restocked periodically with soda and snacks.
- Testing boxes & portfolios will need to be restocked with all the supplies the therapist needs, every other week.
- Orthotics as needed.
- Other projects as handed out, as needed.
III. Position Requirements:
Education or Equivalent: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. One or more years’ experience in a medical office setting as a receptionist/scheduler.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements: Ability to multitask and communicate well with others.
Physical/Mental Requirements: Ability to lift 10-30 lbs.
Leadership Competencies: Ability to perform job requirements with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27,000.00 - $31,000.00 per year
