Position Summary
The Spanish Interpreter/Admin Support works in the Oregon Tech Dental Hygiene Clinic located at Chemeketa Community College. The Interpreter would provide a wide range of support in the following areas: scheduling patient appointments, explaining treatment needs, billing, some clinical/administrative tasks such as sterilization, laundry, and other tasks as assigned. This position will provide information to patients, students, and staff, and will utilize computer software to meet the needs of the clinic.

Department Summary
The Oregon Tech Dental Hygiene program provides a safe and collaborative learning environment in state of the art facilities, utilizing digital media for radiographs, tele-dentistry, and electronic health records. We also are renowned for our robust community outreach courses and international travel to third world countries to provide dental care. Oregon Tech offers both tenure-track and non-tenure track employment options that include opportunities for creative work within the college and with industry partners. Additional Requirements

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish communication including reading, writing and spoken word
  • Computer skills such word processing, spreadsheets, email programs, publisher, etc.
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) or more years dental experience
  • Experience in electronic dental records
  • CPR Certification
  • OSHA/HIPAA trained

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
