Description
The Department of Romance Studies at Brandeis University seeks a full-time instructor for the Hispanic Studies program, to begin in July 2023. This is a one-year appointment for academic year 2023-2024 and involves teaching six, in-person (4-credit) courses:

Fall 2023: two sections of HISP 32 (third semester course) and one section of HISP 20 (second semester course); and

Spring 2024: two sections of HISP 32 and one section of HISP 104.

Candidates with at least a master’s degree in Spanish language, literature or culture, or with a specialty in second-language acquisition in Spanish, as well as experience teaching Spanish-language courses at the university level and a native or near-native level of spoken and written proficiency in Spanish will be given preference.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, course syllabi for classes already taught at these levels, sample assignments and assessments or exams for these levels, and the names and contact information for two references. First consideration will be given to applications received by July 10, 2023.
