The Department of Languages, Modern and Classical seeks one or more part-time adjunct professors of Spanish to start August 2023. Languages to be taught are first- and second-year courses, on a 15-week semester basis (Fall and Spring). Minimum qualification is M.A. in Spanish, Romance Languages, or a related field. Payment is on a per-course basis; each course meets for 150 minutes per week, either two or three days per week Monday through Friday and is taught in-person. Preference is for faculty with experience in and/or interest in teaching using Comprehensible Input (CI) or Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS) methods, but faculty have autonomy to choose their own textbooks. Optional training in TPRS is available for free through the Department. This is a part-time, non-tenure track position.
