Early Childhood Spanish Immersion Lead Teacher

Position responsibilities include:

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment conducive to exploration and experimentation of new ideas
• Plan developmentally appropriate experiences through the Spanish language for children that encourage mental, physical, emotional and social growth through one-to-one and group interaction
• Keeping accurate records for children
• Carry out responsibilities in cooperation with other faculty members for the operation of the entire program
• Establish professional communication with parents; conducting conferences twice a year; making parents feel welcome
• Supervise, evaluate and direct faculty assigned to the class
• Participate in faculty meetings, in-services, and events
• Complete yearly requirement for professional growth
• Respect confidentiality of each child, parent, faculty member, and all center issues

Qualifications: * Possess a degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field

• Spanish Language is the primary and native language
• Proficient in the Spanish language and the ability to administer a Spanish Immersion program 80% of the day with 20% of the day in English Language Arts
• Ability to communicate and to understand and carry out written and verbal directions in English
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with childcare (including, but not limited to hearing, speaking, reading, swift movement, transitioning from varying indoor and outdoor locations, bending, lifting, crouching, carrying and/or reaching)

Salary is determined by level of education and years working with children under the age of five in a similar educational setting.
