Spanish Language Teacher

PART-TIME POSITION

We are currently looking for a Spanish Language Instructor to serve our program locations in Philadelphia. This is a salaried position with benefits.
THE ROLE

You are a/ Spanish Language Instructor who loves working with children ages 3-14 and you are fluent in Spanish, too! You are personable & welcoming, you are a team-player, and most of all, you make learning fun for the prekindergarten and school age children! Your communication skills rock! You are upbeat & always have a smile on your face! At the end of the day, you ask what else you can help with before you time out.

You will work cooperatively with the other teachers and our instructors to provide a fun, welcoming environment in which our students can learn and grow.

• Supervise students at all times
• Assist in planning and implementing the daily program and Spanish Language lesson plans
• Assist Pre-Kindergarten Enrichment/Assistant Teacher in other ways as requested
• Maintain a professional attitude
• Refrain from personal cell phone activity during programming
• Provide communication to parents through newsletters, emails and face-to-face interaction
• Help maintain a neat and organized classroom

Position Requirements: Associates or Bachelors Degree (completed or in-progress) and 2 yrs experience working with children

• High energy, a passion for teaching, and a welcoming demeanor
• Foreign language teaching experience: Spanish

Other Position Requirements: Lift up to 40 lbs Repetitive bending, stretching, and stooping

• Climb up stairs
• Have mobility required to ensure the safety of the children
• Work with the children on the floor
• Work outdoors in any variety of weather
• Perform light duty cleaning & housekeeping

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
