Description

Holy Spirit Parish School, a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade Catholic elementary school located in the Land Park neighborhood, is accepting applications for a Spanish teacher for the 2023-24 school year. The ideal candidate is willing to work hard to build a dynamic learning environment in a Catholic school that focuses on a challenging academic background while developing character and building community.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate their expertise in teaching Spanish language through a diverse range of pedagogical techniques. Teachers should be open to professional growth and committed to participation in a Catholic elementary school and must demonstrate evidence of effective communication, collaboration, and aptitude with educational technology. Candidates should be able to demonstrate their expertise in teaching Spanish language content through a diverse range of pedagogical techniques.

The teacher is expected to teach grades Kindergarten to 8th grade.

Teaching includes lesson planning, lesson presentation, student assessment, and individualized student support as needed. The teacher is expected to develop, plan and present lessons to students in a classroom, utilizing course material and other appropriate learning material. The teacher is expected to supervise, monitor, assign and evaluate students.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Practicing Catholic preferred.
  • College/university degree in a relevant field—graduate degree preferred—with experience teaching elementary students, preferably in Catholic school.
  • Have knowledge and experience using content standards and integrating technology into the classroom.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and degrees based on the Diocese of Sacramento salary scale.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,440.00 - $56,712.00 per year
