Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans for Spanish language instruction
- Provide instruction to students in various grade levels, focusing on building language proficiency and cultural understanding
- Utilize instructional technology and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on assignments and assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and align instructional strategies
- Provide academic advising and support to students, including guidance on course selection and career pathways
- Utilize research-based instructional practices and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
- Implement behavior management techniques to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, with a focus on Spanish language instruction
- Valid teaching certification or licensure in Spanish or Foreign Language Education
- Experience in education administration, instructional design, or research is preferred
- Knowledge of library services, special education, tutoring, and behavior management strategies is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in both English and Spanish
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians
- Passion for teaching Spanish language and culture, with a commitment to student success
