ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides a positive patient experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Resolves patient issues and answers questions.
  • Process refunds.
  • Enter co-payments according to payment sheets, insurance cards, or special program.
  • Collects co-payments by accepting cash, check, or credit card and makes change for cash customers.
  • Verifies check acceptance by reviewing and recording driver's license number and operating credit card authorization systems.
  • Ensures all co-payments or deductibles are accurate in the patients account with active coverage and providing a receipt to every customer.
  • Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
  • Maintains Cashier operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Prepares Month-End Cashier Reconciliation Report.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 - 2 years of cashier experience.
  • Must have effective communication skills.
  • Must have good customer services skills.
  • Able to multi-tasks and adjust schedule when necessary to meet business needs.
  • Fully fluent in English and Spanish; required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $16.90 per hour
