We are looking for enthusiastic individuals that have passion for music and have a STRONG WORK ETHIC.

International House of Music has been established since 1902 and looking for associates looking to become part of a HARD WORKING FAMILY.

Currently we are looking for a sales person who has a broad and growing knowledge of music and the many facaets of music. The ability to communicate effectively and can work in a fast paced environment. Our team is focused on creating a lasting relationship with customers, vendors and team members with in IHOMI.

Sales Representative Job Description includes, but not limited to:

  • Sales: We are a retail store so selling is essential
  • Ability and knowledge and understanding to work with Educational institution procurement and purchasing.
  • Ability to organize and over see Educational Institution purchases for their procumbent and purchasing department.
  • Prepare SEASONAL products for School which includes Back to School / Rental Season
  • Display and organize & ensure guitar department is clean, priced correctly and maintain it retail ready as IHOMI standard, with a focus but not limited to.
  • Department must be restocked before and after shift
  • Maintain a proper inventory, prepare orders to replenish missing stock
  • Establish relationships with vendors about new products, specials / and promos
  • Set short term goals and long-term goals for department (BAND & ORCHESTRA)
  • Organize and maintain workstation and work area which includes computers, band & orchestra, acoustic room, amp, high-end room, guitars, bass,pedals and accessories , not limited to the premise of the entire store and departments. Which also include Sanitization as it is required
  • Organize, label special orders in designated area
  • Organize overstock in an organized fashion in warehouse
  • Product knowledge: understanding products so you can effectively communicate with customers about its features, benefits, uses, and support needs.
  • Market Direction: Identify current and future product trends that appeal to consumers. Relaying that information to our marketing team.
  • Be prepared to go over potential sales/pending quotes during weekly meeting.
  • Follow up on customers after a week or two. Document customers feedback (we will go over every week)
  • Check and confirm that Items received for department are identified in a proper manner which includes SKU, Model, description, regular price, promotional price, vendor logo and work though Aimsi in to organize and input
  • Assist in properly displaying incoming product in correct departments with clear price labels as the required by IHOMI standards
  • Consistently establish a positive work environment with all colleagues as IHOMI standards
  • Interact with customers and establish positive rapport & relationships for return purchases & service
