Our Early Intervention program is currently seeking an Administrative Support Coordinator to provide receptionist, referral, and data entry support.

As the Administrative Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Protecting the rights and dignities of individuals with developmental disabilities and extending these rights and dignities to family members or guardians
  • Collecting referral information through various channels such as voicemail, phone conversations, or email
  • Assisting in the coordination of family transitions from external Early Intervention agencies or other EI stakeholders which may include in state and out of state families
  • Abiding by the Rhode Island Early Intervention Competencies
  • Conducting thorough research utilizing the Statewide electronic medical record platform to ensure children are not enrolled elsewhere, ensuring accuracy in case assignments
  • Performing receptionist duties, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and communicating with appropriate staff members
  • Collaborating with the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) to obtain necessary documentation for cases
  • Supporting the EI Director in assigning cases to service coordinators and communicating reasons for referral
  • Assisting with caseload management by reviewing staff caseloads in order to assign new cases
  • Collaborating with Data Entry Specialist to ensure the accuracy of information for proper billing and reimbursement
  • Initiating the appropriate correspondence, such as 10-day letters and/or Thank You letters to referral source if families are unreachable
  • Performing other duties as directed by the supervisor related to the organization’s mission, goals, and operations

 

Qualifications

Education/Requirements:

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field of study preferred
  • At least two years of experience working with children in an early childhood, educational, or early intervention setting preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and safe driving record
  • Access to a personal vehicle to be used as directed
