Having the best employees provides the best service to the community. Under direction, implements the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV) Program to fulfill program objectives.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Manages client caseload and prepares required documentation to conform to HCV Program regulations and policies. Informs, explains, advises, and assists applicants, tenants, and landlords regarding policies, procedures, and regulations of the HCV Program. Conducts initial and annual interviews with clients and determines program eligibility. Performs initial and annual inspections of rental units to ensure compliance with Housing Quality Standards. Negotiates rents, lease changes, occupancy, maintenance standards, and related conditions of contract agreements with property owners or managers. Conducts briefing sessions and assists applicants in locating suitable accommodations. Refers tenants to social service agencies for assistance in resolving financial, domestic, or socioeconomic barriers. Investigates difficult, sensitive issues, and disputes between tenants and property owners, or between tenants/owners and the Housing Authority. Seeks to resolve disputes and eliminate or mitigate problems through counseling, mediation, and/or enforcement of administrative rules and regulations. Motivates tenants and provides information on resources available for families to achieve goal of self-sufficiency. Tracks and monitors client progress. Uses computer to keep detailed case records and retrieve information. Writes reports, letters, memos, and correspondence. Organizes case files. Performs other functions as assigned.

Oral Interview Examination (Tentatively scheduled for November 15, 2023 ): (Weight of 100%) will evaluate the candidates' experience, training, education, and abilities in relation to those factors which are essential for successful performance on the job.
