Spanish Teacher K-4 part-time

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans for a K-4 Spanish (second language) exposure program for 10 classes in G&T school with motivated students. One lesson per week per class.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Use effective teaching strategies to deliver instruction to students
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance student learning

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (preferred)
- Valid NYC Dept of Education substitute teaching license or current NYS teaching license
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behavior
- Experience working with students with varying needs
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
